In 1868, Dario Brando saves George Joestars life. As a token of gratitude, George takes in Darios son Dio when he becomes an orphan. However, Dio is not content with his current status and aims to seize the Joestar estate for himself. He uses an Aztec stone mask imbued with supernatural powers to try and destroy George and his son, Jonathan "JoJo" Joestar, setting off a chain of events that will reverberate throughout history.
Fifty years later in New York City, Joseph Joestars grandson discovers the legacy left behind by his grandfather. During an archaeological dig, he learns about the stone mask and realizes that only he can defeat the Pillar Men, powerful mystical beings who unintentionally caused everything to begin. The series follows the exciting adventures of JoJo and his descendants as they face off against evil adversaries such as Dio and combat the sinister Pillar Men.
