Rastani, leader of the Black Impact team, was once considered one of the top pilots in the Zi Fighter league until he lost battles against the Dark Assassins and later, RD. He saw RD as a rival and a threat to his position, leading him to join forces with other Zoid pilots in the Battle Royale. Despite losing, RD still won the battle. Rastani and his team used customized Blade Ligers. After being defeated by his brother Reynard and an AI-controlled Chimera Dragon, Rastani began to see RD as a capable opponent who could defeat the Chimera Dragon. He reclaimed the rights to the Black Impact Team from his brother after the battle. Rastani's attitude towards RD changed from bitter rivalry to friendly competition, which was reflected in how he spoke to him and behaved throughout the episode.
