Matsuura is a friend of both michael and luca, who are classmates of alto at alto academy. she's a quiet and shy girl with glasses and a voluptuous figure, working in the same restaurant as ranka lees dream of becoming a singer. nanase possesses artistic abilities and can draw exceptionally well. recently, she was hired by grace to design costumes for ranka. unfortunately, during an attack on macross frontier, matsuura sustained severe injuries to her right eye and the rest of her body. sheryl nome rescued her and provided medical attention, ultimately saving her life.
