Maekawa is another classmate of Makoto's who is quite tall, frequently referring to him as a transfer student because she can never remember his actual name correctly. She gets dizzy if she raises her arms above her head for more than ten seconds and often wears different costumes. She has a cool personality and enjoys teasing Ryūko. Her parents own a bar in the city, and she works part-time at several places. Despite her supervisor's request that she doesn't wear cosplay to work, Maekawa insists on doing so.
