In the narrative, Haru is the male protagonist who sits beside Shizuku in class. Although he's a delinquent boy with a history of getting into fights and being absent from school for extended periods, he possesses a strong work ethic and can achieve high grades effortlessly. Despite his troubled past, Haru is passionate about helping others and forming meaningful connections. However, due to the fear and apprehension of his classmates towards him, it's challenging for him to make friends. After meeting Shizuku, he considers her as his first real friend and becomes infatuated with her. He also brings a rooster to school every day, despite facing opposition from his teachers. Additionally, Haru has a somewhat crude mindset, openly expressing sexual desires towards Shizuku and having inappropriate thoughts about her. It's unclear whether he acts on these impulses or not.
