The mayor of the village is named Maymond, who is known for being bossy and having strong opinions. Despite taking his role seriously, he can sometimes be overzealous, which requires others to intervene with a more measured approach. He loves his son Napoleon dearly but tends to overlook his faults, often attributing any problems the boy gets into to other children. In addition to politics, Maymond enjoys gardening and making honey. He has a special garden filled with forget-me-nots as a tribute to his late wife.
