Three years after their journey, Lafiel takes command of a newly constructed attack vessel named Basroil. Meanwhile, Jinto completes his training to become a supply officer and joins Lafiels crew. Their objective is to safeguard the Laptic Gate, which is of utmost strategic importance, from an enemy force that outnumbers them by 15 times. To make matters worse, their new fleet commander hails from the notorious Bebous family, known for their "Spectacular Insanity".

Seikai no Senki has been published digitally in English as Banner of the Stars by J-Novel Club since December 17, 2019, and in print as omnibus volumes since February 2, 2021.
