In the aftermath of a deadly battle, Baki Hanma is left weakened and near death with no hope of recovery. However, after being brought to China by friend Retsu Kaiou, he discovers the Raitai Tournament, a prestigious competition where top martial artists fight for supremacy in China. Since foreigners are now allowed entry, Baki is informed that he must participate in order to receive the cure for his illness. Unfortunately, his father, known as the "Strongest Creature on Earth," is also competing. The 2nd season of Baki follows the story of this grand tournament as well as Baki's encounter with the enigmatic Mohammad Alai Jr.
