The narrative of Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai takes place in Chichibu City. It centers around two sisters, Akane and Aoi, who have been living together since their parents passed away 13 years ago. One day, Shinnosuke Kanemuro, Akanes former boyfriend who is now 31, visits the city to perform at a festival. Meanwhile, an 18-year-old version of Shinnosuke, known as Shinno, also time travels from 13 years ago. As Aoi falls in love with Shinno, Akane and the 31-year-old Shinnosuke finally reunite.
