NHKs Heat Exhibition is an annual event held in March that showcases artwork created by famous Japanese celebrities alongside poetry written by individuals with disabilities. Out of the many applicants, only 50 are chosen to participate each year. One such participant was Megumi Ichimura, who had a melody added to her poem by Ikuko Kawai, a classically trained violinist from Japan. The resulting song, titled Obaachan Moshikashite, featured the vocals of Emiko Shiratori and was broadcast on the Minna no Uta program in April 2005. The video showcased a combination of live-action footage and animation by Seiichi Hayashi.
