The funding for the episode will come from Chitoses Hometown tax program, a system that enables urban residents to contribute taxes towards rural areas through their hometown. Those who donate over 2,000 yen receive credits which reduce their income and residence taxes. This program will be highlighted in the episode and can be accessed on the official Chitose City website in November.
Jashin-chan Dropkick': Chitose-hen was funded through the Chitose Hometown tax program. The initiative set out to raise 20 million yen for Chitose, Hokkaido, but ended up raising over 184 million yen. A limited-edition Blu-ray including the special was given as a gift to selected program donors.
