In the Performing Arts Division at Seishou Music Academy, students are brought together through the constantly evolving stages of their lives as they work tirelessly to perfect their craft. As the girls prepare for their upcoming performance, Karen Aijou initially feels content with taking on a smaller role. However, her passion is reignited when her childhood friend Hikari Kagura returns to the academy, causing changes in class dynamics. Karen later discovers a hidden battleground beneath the school where auditions are held to determine the "Top Star." As she immerses herself in these mysterious trials, Karen learns about the struggles that come with striving for greatness. Despite fate working against them, Karen and Hikari must fight together in order to fulfill their childhood dream of becoming stars together.

Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight: Rondo Rondo Rondo serves as an abridged compilation of the original anime series. Its theatrical release was initially set for May 29, 2020, but was delayed to August 7, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
