Yasuo is an employee at a ramen restaurant and has been dating Yukiko, a pretty news reporter. Despite his financial difficulties, Yasuo manages to buy his girlfriend a nice ring by stealing wallets from people on crowded streets in Tokyo. Over time, Yasuo becomes increasingly obsessed with becoming Lupin and spends much of his free time studying and watching everything related to the character. He even works with Jigen for a while. However, when Yasuo learns about the Ice Cube diamond, he realizes that stealing this would make him the true Lupin.
