Woonan was a renowned pirate who accumulated an enormous amount of gold, earning him the nickname "Great Gold Pirate." Despite his disappearance, stories about his stashed-away treasure on a remote island continue to circulate, making it a tempting target for other pirates. One such pirate is El Drago, who has gone to great lengths to obtain the treasure. He and his crew have tracked down Woonan's former crew members one by one and discovered the map that will lead them to the hidden island. However, they also encountered the straw hat pirates during their journey, resulting in a short battle where Luffy and his companions were robbed and separated from each other. Now, they must race against time to reach the island before El Drago does and claim the legendary treasure for themselves.
