Gorou Honda has returned to Mifune East Junior High School and is surrounded by friends who are happy to see him. However, his return was not without challenges as he copes with an injury sustained while playing baseball at Hitaka Little. As a result, Gorou must overcome new rivals, old friendships, and mend broken relationships. Despite this, Gorou's goal of attending elite baseball high school Kaido is within reach, but complicated circumstances may prevent him from achieving it once again. The immense pressures of the game will test Gorou's ability to cope with adversity and find the type of baseball he loves most.
