A Time Patrol member discovers a disturbance in Japan during 1570 and heads to investigate. However, on her way there, she is attacked and ends up trapped underground at the Nohara residence in 20th century Japan. With limited resources available, she must seek assistance from the Nohara family. They then travel back in time and encounter a samurai named Fubuki-maru who believes they are the legendary three persons and dog that someone from her family will eventually meet in a crucial moment. The lonely samurai requests their help to defeat Unkokusai lord, a man with strange magical powers, whom he considers as his greatest enemy.
