Every night, Toramizu Ginta dreams of a fantastical realm that he yearns to visit in reality. Although most people mock his aspirations, Koyuki remains supportive and encourages him to keep believing. One day, a massive door materializes before Ginta, inviting him to the mystical land of MAR Heaven. In this world, there are magical weapons called ARMS that can be wielded for protection or offense. Initially, Ginta is thrilled by his newfound ability to explore this enchanting realm. However, he soon discovers that MAR Heaven has a dark past marked by devastating wars, and another war may imminently threaten the peace.

VIZ Media licensed only the first 52 episodes of MÄR, and released only the first 16 on DVD before cancelling the rest of the releases.
