Syaoran, Kurogane, Fai, and Sakura travel with Mokona through time and space on a quest to recover fragments of Sakuras lost memory. They arrive in the "Land of the Birdcage," where people live alongside birds as companions. A misunderstanding occurs when Koruri attacks Syaoran and Sakura, thinking them to be bodyguards. The king of the country possesses a mysterious power, and Princess Tomoyo, Korumi, and other oppressed citizens hide in the forest after having their birds taken away. In order to retrieve Sakuras feather, Syaoran and his companions confront the scheming king.
