A young woman named hiromi oka has recently enrolled at a high school known for its strong tennis program. her passion for the sport stems from her admiration for madam butterfly. initially, she anticipated enjoying tennis with her closest friend, maki, but things took an unexpected turn when the new coach, mr. munakata, selected hiromi to be part of the team participating in an upcoming tournament. as a result, he began providing her with rigorous training sessions. despite any challenges that came her way, hiromi persevered and eventually emerged as the representative for the junior match tournament.

Due to the popularity and high ratings of the original Ace wo Nerae!, the series was remade as Shin Ace wo Nerae! with different staff. Shin is closer to the original manga and adapts up to the end of the first part.
