In koyomi araragis second year at naoetsu private high school, he meets tsubasa hanekawa, the top student in his class. during their conversation, hanekawa mentions a rumor about a beautiful blonde vampire with icy eyes who has been spotted around town. although araragi dismisses the rumor and continues with his evening, on his way home he finds blood splatters leading to the subway. his curiosity leads him to investigate further, and he follows the trail of gore into the station's depths. when he reaches the source, he is horrified by what he sees: the dismembered body of the rumored blonde vampire. after she calls for his help, araragi must make a choice that could forever change his life.

The Kizumonogatari movie trilogy adapts the third volume of NisiOisiN's Monogatari Series: First Season.
