In the future, a modified version of Nanso Satomi Hakkenden by Bakin Kyokutei Takizawa (1767) was created as an animation. The story takes place during a time when wars were occurring for possession among the eight moons surrounding God's land, which were created by the savior Fuse. After the war ended, only one ruling family remained - that of the Oowaris, and their remaining son gained control over all but one moon, Meiten, where people refrained from war due to its sacred status.
Eight individuals, each representing a different moon, were chosen to become saviors of humanity by possessing one of the jewels that make up Earth. These eight had sacrificed greatly for their jewels and were determined to fulfill their duty to Queen Fuse, who entrusted them with these powers. However, when the mad emperor Kai threatened to revive a ghost who sought to prevent the restoration of Earth, the eight must use their jewel-based abilities to create Earth and defeat those who opposed it.
To accomplish this task, they journeyed to Kusanagi, the ship located at the center of God's land. There, they needed to gather the jewels stored in Yatsufusa, the key kept at Kusanagis center, in order to create Earth and fulfill their mission.
