Ritsu Onodera is having trouble adjusting to his new role as a shoujo manga editor at Marukawa Publishing House. Working under Masamune Takano, his first love from middle school, only makes things more difficult. To make matters worse, Masamune suddenly declares that he plans on making Ritsu fall for him again. Meanwhile, another editor in the department, Yoshiyuki Katori, is in a relationship with popular manga artist Chiaki Yoshino. Chiaki is unaware that his high school friend Yuu Yanase thinks of him as more than just a friend. Hatori is determined not to give up on his love so easily. Shouta Kisa is also struggling with his first love at 30. He is going out with 21-year-old Kou Yukina, an art student, but doubts whether someone like himself is truly worthy of his younger, "sparkling" boyfriend.
