In ancient times, a massive spider terrorized tokyo. despite all efforts, no one could stop the creature's rampage on the city. however, a legendary exorcist managed to seal it away and restore peace. the story revolves around mizuki henmi, an adolescent girl who visits shu suzuri, a man running an old japanese bookstore. during her visit, she discovers a valuable book that shu plans to sell. unfortunately, mizuki mishandles the book, breaking its seal and revealing an unusual creature - a cute spider named wasurenagumo. as time passes, while shu is enamored with his new friend, mizuki grows suspicious of the spider's intentions.
