Youtarou hanabusa has eight words that describe how he feels: "i just want to live a normal life." however, being a member of the knights of the world and having undergone training in this ancient international order, youtarou suffers from "white knight syndrome," which compels him to act heroically and chivalrously whenever he encounters someone in danger. to conceal his identity during such moments, he carries a mask with him at all times. one day, while saving makio kidouin's life, youtarou is unaware that this act will change his life forever. he receives both blessings and curses: living in luxury as knight lancer and dealing with the abnormalities of makio's lifestyle. as a result, he must protect makio while maintaining his identity as the masked hero knight lancer.
