Doraemon and his companions journey through time by opening a portal, arriving in the lost civilization of Maya. There, Nobita discovers his doppelganger, Prince Thio, who is destined to inherit the throne. The two decide to exchange their roles in an attempt to save Maya from the evil witch Ledina and her minions.
