Pepe is a Spanish cyclist who competes in an Iberian race that resembles the Tour de France. He serves as a support rider for one of the teams participating in the event, with his primary responsibility being to assist the top rider in winning the overall competition. However, during the race, Pepe's hometown is scheduled to be passed through on the same day as his elder brother Angel's wedding to Carmen, a former girlfriend. Their relationship played a role in Pepe's decision to leave his town and pursue professional cycling. The wedding serves as a painful reminder that his career has not progressed as he had hoped. With his sponsor planning to drop him from the team and his loved ones cheering him on, Pepe decides to abandon his assigned role and strive for victory.
