The capital city of the Sorcerer Kingdom, E-Rantel, is facing a shortage of goods due to its caution or fear of King Ainz Ooal Gown. To make amends, Ainz sends Albedo as a diplomatic envoy. Meanwhile, the cardinals of the Slane Theocracy are discussing how to retaliate against Ainz after his attack on the Re-Estize Kingdoms army. However, their plans are disrupted when Emperor Jircniv Rune Farlord El Nix arranges a meeting with the Theocracys messengers at a colosseum and is confronted by Ainz himself. As a result of this secret gathering being exposed, Jircniv learns that Ainz has challenged the Warrior King, the empires greatest fighter, to a duel. Despite not understanding Ainz's motivations, Jircniv can only watch as humanity's future changes before his eyes.
