The narrative revolves around a group of wizards who embark on a quest to gather mazica, which is crucial for saving the world. A junior high school student named Kezuru awakens from an unusual dream that features him as a wizard and other characters such as "mazin" and a mysterious girl. The following day, his friend Kuracchi introduces him to the Mazica Party card game, which has all of its characters resembling those in Kezuru's dream. Kezuru also receives an invitation from a major international company called Mazica for an event. Intrigued by this opportunity, he attends and meets Jeff Johns, the CEO of Mazica. Johns expresses high expectations for him and presents him with a Mazica Gear. On his way home, Kezuru encounters an airship-like creature that attacks him. However, just as he thinks it's all over, his Mazica Gear erupts, and a magic book appears. When Kezuru scratches a card, he seals a contract with Barunya, a "mazin" creature that is a unique fusion of an airship and a cat. The mysterious girl Anya reveals to Kezuru that he and others like him are the true wizards who will save the world. As a result, Kezuru enrolls in the Mazica Academy and engages in battles using the Mazica Party card game alongside his partner mazin.
