A college student named Yuuhi Amamiyas monotonous existence is transformed when Sir Noi Crezant, a talking lizard claiming to be a knight of justice, appears. Crezant explains that the world is in danger due to the mage Animus and his Biscuit Hammer, an enormous structure orbiting Earth. As Yuuhi's new Lizard Knight, he must join other Beast Knights to protect the princess and save the planet from destruction. Although initially unenthused about risking his life, Yuuhi continues with his routine until a golem created by Animus confronts him. Samidare Asahina, the neighbor who rescues him, has an intention that starkly differs from Crezants; she aims to destroy the world with her own hands. Despite this, Yuuhi becomes intrigued by Samidares determination and resolves to help her achieve her goal. Together, they fight against Animus' golems, gradually awakening Yuuhi's interest in life. However, his past trauma may hinder him from progressing further.

According to a 2015 Twitter post by the series creator Satoshi Mizukami, an anime adaptation of Hoshi no Samidare was initially planned to be released shortly after the mangas serialization, but the project failed due to a lack of sponsors. The series was released on Blu-ray in four volumes from October 28, 2022 to April 28, 2023.
