A news report about a violent African elephant attack goes viral worldwide. The only survivor claims that it was killed by an unarmed man, which turns out to be Yuujirou Hanma, also known as the "Ogre" and considered the strongest person on Earth. Meanwhile, Baki Hanma, Yuujirous 18-year-old son, battles a praying mantis in training sessions. Determined to surpass his father, he kidnaps President George Bosch and imprison him at Arizona State Prison, where Oliva Biscuit resides - the strongest man in America who can leave prison on his own accord. To test his abilities, Baki challenges Olivia to a fight, but Olivia is preoccupied with his rival Jun Guevaru, nicknamed "The Second." Known for special treatment from guards, The Second is the only other prisoner allowed to leave Arizona State Prison at will. Despite the harsh conditions of prison life, Baki remains patient and waits for an opportunity to showcase his skills.
