Satan of ente isla, once feared by many, now leads a peaceful life in tokyo under the name sadao maou. he works at a fast-food restaurant and provides for his former generals alciel and lucifer. however, he must avoid confrontations with emi yusa-the assumed name of emilia justinia-and the angels who monitor him. during an argument between sadao and emi, a dimensional portal appears, carrying a mysterious apple that imprints on them as parents to alas ramus. despite initial reluctance, emi agrees to help sadao take care of alas ramus. however, their peaceful life is threatened by the appearance of gabriel, an archangel who claims that he must take both alas ramus and emis sacred sword with him-lest the world be destroyed. to protect what they hold dearest, sadao and emilia must put aside their differences and unite.
