A young man named Yuuta Okkotsu is a victim of high school bullying at 16 years old. He has a monstrous curse that seeks revenge against those who have wronged him. His curse, Rika Orimoto, is a shadow from his past and poses a deadly threat to anyone who crosses Yuuta's path. Despite the challenges he faces, Yuuta catches the attention of Satoru Gojou, a powerful sorcerer who teaches at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Gojou sees immense potential in Yuuta and hopes to help him channel his deadly burden into something positive. However, Yuuta struggles to fit in with his talented classmates, including Toge Inumaki, weapons expert Maki Zenin, and Panda. Yuuta uses Rika on missions alongside the other first-year students, but their grisly aftermath attracts the attention of Suguru Getou, a curse user who seeks to claim Rikas power for himself. With the help of his friends, Yuuta fights against Getous genocidal plan to eliminate all non-jujutsu users from the world.
