After successfully thwarting a global threat, Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama returns to face the monotonous tasks of everyday life, beginning with completing the nerve-wracking paperwork required at school. Meanwhile, he continues to aid his mentor Arataka Reigen and the office's newest hire, Katsuya Serizawa, in resolving supernatural cases for their clients. While carrying out these responsibilities, Mob also works on gaining more autonomy in both his esper and human existence, as well as striving to improve his relationships with those around him. However, new challenges - both supernatural and mundane - test the emotional stability of Mob, compelling him to confront the realities that surround him. As he pursues maturity, Mob must resolve these emotional conflicts and reevaluate the innocence he has clung onto for so long.
