In every few decades, a group of mounted fae knights known as the Wild Hunt roams across the land. Their presence causes old plants to wither and makes way for new ones. However, when lightning strikes a stone monument where they rest, it breaks off a fragment containing their guides' bands. This means that when the Wild Hunt awakens again, its members cannot maintain formation and wander aimlessly through the forests, causing death in their wake. To address this issue, Spriggan assigns Elias Ainsworth to retrieve the missing guide's steed and return it to its master. Meanwhile, Gabriel, an asthmatic boy who dreams of adventure, discovers the chipped-off rock and accidentally summons the knight within. With only his desire to return as his memory, the guide must reunite with his steed and pack before his absence causes irreparable damage.

Each episode was bundled with special editions of manga volumes 16 through 18, respectively.
