Yoshikazu Miyanos' troubles begin on a hot summer day when he encounters Shuumei Sasaki. Sasaki saves Miyanos classmate from bullies, and despite his initial reluctance, Miyanos finds himself drawn to the upperclassman. However, as time goes by, Miyanos becomes increasingly annoyed with Sasaki's persistent attention and intrusion into his personal space.
Miyanos is a shy and easily flustered individual who harbors an embarrassing secret - he is a "fudanshi," a boy who enjoys boys love (BL) manga. He fears that other students will discover this secret, so he keeps it hidden. However, during a slip of the tongue, Miyanos reveals his truth to Sasaki. To his surprise, Sasaki shows interest in BL and asks to borrow a book to read. This marks a shift in their dynamic as Sasaki becomes more intrigued by Miyanos' secret passion.
Although Sasaki appears to have some personal agenda, his feelings for Miyanos become complicated as they spend more time together and share a common interest. Their relationship is poised to change and further develop.
