A decade ago, during the peak of VRMMO development, a groundbreaking game called "Kiwame Quest" emerged with an unprecedented level of potential. Featuring a mind-blowing 10 sexdecillion possible story scenarios and pursuing ultimate realism, from human-like NPCs to the perfect replication of all senses and physical abilities, Kiwame Quest quickly gained popularity. However, as time went on, it became clear that the game was too realistic, leading to a decline in VRMMO popularity.
Currently, Hiroshi Yuuki, a high school student, turns to full-dive RPGs as an escape from his daily stresses. After failing to obtain the latest version of his favorite game, Hiroshi stumbles upon a game shop and meets its stunning clerk Reona Kisaragi, who convinces him to purchase a copy of Kiwame Quest for them to play together. During his first session with the game, Hiroshi is amazed by its realism. However, this initial excitement is short-lived as he quickly realizes that the game is even more overwhelming than his already challenging life. Despite his growing disdain for the game, Hiroshi continues to log on, determined to clear it. With no resets in his current predicament, Hiroshi's sole objective is to conquer Kiwame Quest.
