When Demon Queen Echidna begins her invasion of the human realm, people turn to hero Leo Demonheart for protection. Blessed with immense power, he easily repels Echidnas army and saves the world. However, instead of gratitude or admiration, Leo is met with disdain and scorn from his fellow humans who fear his overwhelming strength and believe it may eventually lead to humanity's destruction. Banished from his kingdom, Leo wanders aimlessly throughout the land until he hears rumors of Echidnas plans to rebuild her army. Hoping that demonkind might accept him as an ally, he returns to the demon queen's castle and offers his help. Although Echidna immediately rejects him, Leo manages to convince her four generals to let him work under their supervision as a masked dark knight named Onyx. Gradually improving the quality of life around the castle, Leo's ultimate goal is to learn why Echidna started the war in the first place.
