In Hinamizawa, two lifelong friends named Rika Furude and Satoko Houjou live together with their other companions. They spend every day in each other's company, having fun and laughter. As they grow older, a significant opportunity arises for both of them. While Rika is determined to follow her dreams, Satoko initially hesitates but eventually decides to accompany her on this journey. However, the realization of their respective goals creates a rift between them, causing them to live in different worlds. Despite longing to return to the nostalgic days in Hinamizawa, Satoko feels hopeless and wishes things could be different. Just when she is at her wit's end, an encounter with a supernatural entity provides new insights about Rika and motivates Satoko to pursue the future she desires, no matter what it takes.
