Kanji Yakutani was a world-class medical researcher who tragically lost his little sister due to ineffective treatment. Driven by her memory, he dedicated his life's work to developing new medications for such conditions. However, fate had other plans as he passed away at the age of 31. To his surprise, Kanji found himself reborn in another world as a 10-year-old boy named Falma de Médicis, son of an esteemed family of medical practitioners in the Sain Fleuve Empire. Endowed with divine abilities that allowed him to manipulate substances based on their chemical properties, Falma discovered that this world operated similarly to ancient times and that medicine was a privilege reserved for the nobility, leaving commoners without proper care. Inspired by his past life's experiences and gifted powers, Falma vowed to make medicine accessible to all, regardless of social status.

In collaboration with the Japan Pharmaceutical Association, Isekai Yakkyoku was a part of a campaign to bring awareness to the professions and practices of the pharmaceutical field.The series was released on Blu-ray and DVD in Japan from September 28, 2022 to November 25, 2022.
