The Akatsuki Special Ward is a region that has been invaded by foreign organizations. It's a dangerous place where there are many conflicts and violence. People who live in this area are caught up in the middle of it all. In response to the chaos, vigilantes known as Scards have emerged. These individuals possess supernatural abilities due to divine tattoos they received. Eiji Arashiba is one such individual, and he serves as the hero of Akatsuki, defending his district from outside threats. One day, Eiji faces off against Dusk, a mafia syndicate, along with Yamato Kai, someone he recently met. During the battle, Yamato manages to block a sniper bullet aimed at Eiji, but it still hits him on the arm despite Yamato's efforts. In order to save his friend, Eiji passes on his Scard tattoo to Yamato, entrusting him with protecting Akatsuki and its citizens in exchange for his sacrifice. As the conflict continues, Yamato must use his newfound powers as a Scard to protect those he cares about. However, it remains to be seen whether he will be able to fulfill this role successfully or if he will struggle to become the new hero of Akatsuki.
