In junior high school, ryou mizushima and his friends joined the badminton club on a whim. as he grew more interested in the sport, ryou worked hard to improve his skills until he qualified for the prefectural tournament. however, without a coach who could help him reach his full potential, he didn't consider attending high school with a strong badminton team. instead, he planned on going to a local high school where he could play badminton for fun. but ryou's perspective changed when yokohama minato high school's badminton coach scouted him. not only did the school have one of the strongest badminton teams in the region, but it also had kento yusa, a player ryou admired. although hesitant at first, ryou decided to enroll with his sister's support. with a strong ambition and proper guidance from a coach, he aimed to surpass yusa one day.
