After rescuing Michiru Saruwatari from a demon, Musashi's friend Kojirou Kanemaki discovers that his father was part of the Uesugi clan. Inspired by this revelation, Kojirou and his fellow clansmen decide to join Uesugis punitive expedition against Yamata no Orochi, an eight-headed dragon threatening the region. However, upon joining forces with Uesugis military alliance, Musashi faces challenges in fighting powerful demons due to his lack of power and difficulty working in groups. Meanwhile, the Obsidian Eight continues its pursuit of the Obsidian Goddess residing within Musashis body, while also attempting to hinder the ongoing island operation against Yamata no Orochi. As the situation becomes increasingly complex, Musashi and his companions must navigate through the various factions vying for control over the Obsidian Goddess.
Orient: Awajishima Gekitou-hen was released on Blu-ray in three volumes from September 30, 2022 to November 25, 2022.
