Chizuru Mizuhara, inspired by her late grandfather's advice, partners with Kazuya Kinoshita to launch a crowdfunding campaign for an amateur film. Their goal is to honor their grandparents' wishes while also raising funds for the project. However, their journey is not without challenges as they encounter three individuals who test their resolve - Kazuya's clingy girlfriend Ruka Sarashina, their nosy neighbor Mini Yaemori, and Chizuru's shy work friend Sumi Sakurasawa. Despite these obstacles, they persevere and ultimately achieve their goal, beginning production on the film. As they work together on their ambitious project, Chizuru and Kazuya develop feelings for each other but struggle with their mutual attraction.

In anticipation of Kanojo, Okarishimasu 3rd Season's release, a stage event featuring voice actors of the cast was held at the AnimeJapan 2023 festival on March 25, 2023. The series was released on Blu-ray in two volumes from November 29, 2023, to December 20, 2023.The anime adapts chapters 104 through 167 of the manga.
