The narrative revolves around the seven gods of wealth from japanese folklore who dwell on awaji island in hyogo. in the tale, these gods are portrayed as slacking off in their duties in heaven, leading to their exile to awaji island. to regain access to the celestial realm, they must assist humans and restore their virtues. although initially reluctant, the deities grant human requests and accumulate points on their "god phones" to return to heaven. they strive to perform benevolent acts on particularly lucky days to maximize point acquisition. however, despite their efforts to amass virtue, the seven gods of wealth sometimes inadvertently cause misfortune for humans. when they falter, they lose points, prolonging their stay on awaji island.
