Despite being a vase painter primarily in Ancient Greece, Demetrios faced criticism for his lack of determination and composure during crises. One day, he was struck by lightning and transported to Tokyo in 1964, the year Japan hosted the Summer Olympics. Although initially confused and disoriented, Demetrios was welcomed warmly by a family who dismissed him as an amiable foreigner. This allowed him to absorb the knowledge of the modern era while also returning home periodically via lightning strikes. As he traveled between the two eras, Demetrios discovered new ways to impress his fellow villagers and assert himself, ultimately becoming stronger and preparing for his own Olympics back in Greece.
The series is a mixed-media project combining clay animation with traditional animation and other video techniques.
