In the year seven of the Kowa period, during the time when the Neo-Britannian Empire controlled part of Hokkaido, there lived two mercenary brothers known as the Nameless Mercenaries. Ash was the eldest brother who possessed exceptional athletic skills and mastery over Knightmare Frame control. On the other hand, Rozé was the youngest brother who excelled in gathering intel and devising strategies. Due to the impenetrable energy barrier known as the Situmpe Wall, for four years Emperor Callis al Britannia has been attempting to plunge the world into chaos with the help of his servant Norland and his Einberg Knights. Upon receiving a request, Rozé and Ash, along with the resistance group known as the Seven Shining Stars, confronted the Empire to recapture Princess Sakuya.
