The Ishinomori Manga Museum released an animated short directed by Takuya Inaba based on Shotaro Ishinomoris semi-autobiographical and wordless manga Jun: Shotaro no Fantasy World. This short was inspired by the hometown of Ishinomaki, which wanted to pay tribute to the work while also honoring the ongoing rebuilding and recovery efforts in the area following the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami that occurred in March 2011.
