In Daliang, a world that exists only in fiction, people's souls are taken over by time travelers from 2000 years ago after death. These time travelers bring advanced knowledge and experiences to this place, causing suspicion and concern among the ruling emperor. Lou Zhu, a peace-loving time traveler, forms a bond with Zuo Yunqi, a native of a prominent family in Daliang. Despite tensions between the imperial court and radical time travelers, Lou Zhu tries to find a way for all to coexist. However, an explosion occurs, killing Lou Zhu but leaving his fate uncertain. Six months later, the emperor orders the eradication of all time travelers while Jiao Jiaoran leads a group called Pioneers to overthrow the imperial authority and gain an advantage in warfare by using modern weapons. The focus of both sides is on finding Lou Zhu, who is said to be recovering from injuries in the martial arts community.
