In the expansive grasslands of northern Novoland, lived a nomadic society that revered martial arts, believed in Pandeng, their god, and worshipped heroes. Men were hot-blooded while women were strong-willed. This society was known as Qingyang. The narrative takes place in Qingyang and portrays the power struggles among the nomadic tribes in the north as well as the grievances between Qingyang and the East Land. As a child, Lü Guichen, crown prince of Qingyang, was sent to live with the Yanzhen Tribe by the Great Lord. After their rebellion, Lü Guichen returned to Beidu city but his older brothers disregarded him due to his youth and perceived weakness. However, after experiencing war and life's trials, Lü Guichen developed maturity and strength amidst his brothers' power struggles. During this time, the royal family of the East Lands was in decline and several feudal states had emerged. To achieve his ambition of ruling the East, the Great Lord of Qingyang sought an alliance with the Xia Tang State. As a result, Lü Guichen was sent as a hostage to Xia Tang where he met Jiye, a fierce Tianqu warrior, and formed a close friendship with him. This narrative follows the journey of Zhaowu Duke and Yulie King from the Xie Dynasty-to-be.
