Ashita no Joe

Joe Yabuki was a troubled young man who found solace in violence. He lacked manners and discipline but made up for it with his self-taught fighting skills. One day, while wandering through the slums of Doya, he got into a fight with the local gang. Despite being outnumbered, Joe easily defeated them, drawing the attention of Danpei Tange-a former boxing coach turned alcoholic. Seeing potential in him, Danpei offered to train Joe into Japan's greatest boxer. Initially, Joe dismissed Danpei as a drunken failure; however, after the trainer saved his life, he agreed to live with him and learn the art of boxing. However, Joes rebellious nature made him an unruly student, often falling back on his old ways. To succeed in his new career, Joe needed to trust his mentor and master the techniques taught to him. The path to becoming a professional boxer was fraught with challenges that would test his resolve to the limit.
